In the Netherlands, a painting that was stolen from a Jewish art collector who died fleeing the Nazis during the Second World War has been recovered. A portrait of a young girl by Dutch artist Toon Kelder is believed to have hung for decades in the home of descendants of a notorious Nazi collaborator. Police could not confiscate the painting due to Dutch statute of limitations, but the family has now voluntarily returned it.
