CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. (WWTI) – Art classes for adults of all skill levels are available this summer through the Cape Vincent Arts Council (CVAC), featuring 18 classes from June to August. Instruction covers oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, drawing, jewelry making, Adirondack basketry, photography, felt florals, and a three-day writers’ workshop series.

Most classes occur at the Cape Vincent Community House or the Cape Vincent Recreation Center, with fees ranging from $40 to $120. Cape Vincent Arts Council members receive a $10 discount. Course details and registration information can be found on CVAC’s website or by emailing cvac@capevincentartscouncil.org.

CVAC facilitates adult art classes funded by the Statewide Community Regrants Program from the New York State Council of the Arts. CVAC aims to enhance community access to cultural activities, sponsoring events like Concerts on the Green, Riverside Music Festival, Stroll on Broadway, and the Thousand Islands International Piano Competition for Young People, scheduled for September 11-13, 2026.
