Japanese virtual artist KAF wants fans everywhere to join in celebrating her sixth anniversary as an artist. The pioneering performer will hold a special mini concert titled YARN -UNKNOWN SPACE on Saturday, 12 October at 7PM JST.
This free broadcast on YouTube is a chance for KAF to commemorate 6 eventful years – officially marked on 18 October – with supporters around the globe, while offering a preview of what comes next.
Debuting in 2018, KAF uses an anime-style avatar to present herself to the world, while creating music centered around her versatile and powerful voice. She’s become one of the most prominent virtual singer’s in Japan, with her original songs and covers earning millions of views.
She’s performed at some of the country’s most celebrated venues, including a sold-out night at the historic Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. In March 2023, she released her 3rd full-length album, further showing her artistic growth and ability to capture the complexities of growing up in 21st century Japan.
At the start of 2024, KAF held her biggest live show to date with a sold-out performance at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, becoming one of the first virtual artists to sell out an arena. In the months since, she has shared new songs in her collaborative Suite series and put out an EP, GSA, in May.
