An outstanding few weeks at auction have been had by Rick Amor, the revered Melbourne artist whose paintings veer towards the darkly brooding end of the psychological spectrum.
One of Amor’s most recognisable paintings, The Waiter, 1997, sold for $437,500 last month through Menzies auctioneers, as reported by Saleroom. This set a new auction record for the artist.
