Bishop & Miller in Glandford, north Norfolk, will host Fair Warning, a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Sickboy between June 18 and July 5.
The show promises to transform the space into an immersive environment where art, history, and the narrative power of objects collide.
Oliver Miller, managing director of Bishop & Miller, said: “This exhibition marks the beginning of a space where contemporary artists can respond directly to the extraordinary objects and histories that pass through Bishop & Miller.
“Sickboy, with his legacy of creating immersive environments, is the perfect artist to open the conversation.”
Drawing from Bishop & Miller’s extensive archive of antiques, Sickboy has created new works spanning painting, sculpture, and installation.
Each piece draws inspiration from historical objects shaped by cultural moments, with the exhibition exploring how uncertainty and upheaval have often led to new forms of creativity and design.
Sickboy, known for work exploring themes of love, peace, happiness, and death, said: “Objects carry energy.
“They absorb the stories of the people who owned them and the moments they’ve lived through.
“I’m interested in what happens when we interrupt that history and give it a new language, one rooted in love, hope, and possibility.”
Fragments of cultural and domestic history are reimagined through colour, symbolism, and sculptural transformation.
The exhibition will also feature works developed using traditional printmaking techniques during a residency at Norfolk’s Studio All Day Long.
Repositioning antiques within a living installation, the show will blur the boundaries between archive, commerce, and art.
A private view will take place on June 18 from 6pm to 10pm.
The exhibition will open to the public from 10am to 4pm daily, June 19 through to July 5.
