More than 300 of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings will be brought to life in a ‘dazzling immersive show’ this summer. Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience celebrates the life and art of the iconic painter.

The paintings will be transformed into 3D, immersive scenes that swirl and flow with colour and movement to exhilarate all the senses. At 40,000 sq ft, this is set to be the largest Van Gogh show ever to be staged in the city.

It’s coming as part of a strictly limited run of UK dates, having awed more than five million art lovers across North America and beyond. The exhibition features a specially curated musical soundtrack and uses cutting-edge technology to tell the story of one of history’s most influential artists.

The show is taking place at Birmingham NEC from Thursday August 1 to Sunday September 1, 2024. Tickets go on pre-sale on May 8 and general sale on May 9.

Visitors will go on a journey through Van Gogh’s world ‘from darkness to light enhanced by his own dreams, thoughts and words’, connecting with the artist through his personal letters to his brother, and greatest supporter, Theo before moving into the immersive heart of the show where his colourful flowers, landscapes and cafes scenes will swirl in huge projections across the walls.
