After losing in the group stage of the WTA Finals at Riyadh, Coco Gauff has begun her offseason, exploring artistic activities around LA with her boyfriend Jalen Sera. On Sunday, she shared her latest trip to an art exhibition at the Jeffrey Deitch gallery in LA.
Gauff posted a chic mirror selfie showing her outfit, which included a cropped top, leather jacket, a mini-skirt, and knee-high boots. She tagged her location in Los Angeles, California.
Coco Gauff was with her boyfriend at the art event, as Jalen Sera also took to Instagram and shared snapshots from the art exhibit. He tagged Immanuel Wilkins, who is an American jazz saxophonist.
Another of Gauff’s posts highlighted a textured green artwork. She tagged international artist Alteronce Gumby and American art dealer Jeffrey Deitch.
Gauff also posted one of Gumby’s artworks. She commented:
“Beautiful,” while tagging the artist.
Coco Gauff’s boyfriend Jalen Sera is a fan of art
Coco Gauff’s latest trip to the art gallery might have to do with Jalen Sera’s interest in artwork. After all, he’s an artist, guitarist, and aspiring actor from Atlanta.
Gauff and Jalen’s connection traces back to her mom, Candi Gauff, who was Jalen’s fourth-grade teacher.
Sera has posted many videos where he is playing guitar. Moreover, his bio reveals that he is from Durham, North Carolina and shares a twin named Terence.
Gauff first hinted at her relationship with Sera during a November 2023 interview, where she showed her infinity necklace but chose not to reveal everything about Sera.
“My boyfriend gave this to me,” she said via ELLE. “I’m sure a lot of relationships look up to that symbol [of infinity], so I’m not going to explain that.”
Then, in a 2024 cover story interview, Coco Gauff further talked about her relationship with her boyfriend without revealing the name, but dropping hints.
“Some people thought it was someone in tennis and that couldn’t be further from the truth,” she said. “He’s a very nice guy. He’s in school now…He’s about to apply for music school. He wants to be an actor, and he plays the guitar.”
It wasn’t until June this year that Gauff finally confirmed her relationship with Jalen Sera. He has been a constant feature at Gauff’s tournaments and also shares affectionate messages on her post.
