The Domaine du Palais-Royal, in the center of Paris, welcomes monumental works of contemporary art for the Art Basel Paris fair. Come and admire them free of charge from October 15 to 26, 2024.
Art lovers are in for a treat in Paris: throughout the year, various events enable us to discover new artists, enjoy the region’s museums and art galleries, or have fun with a variety of cultural activities. Every autumn,contemporary art lovers can look forward to a special rendez-vous.
The Art Basel Paris fair is back for a third edition at the Grand Palais, from October 18 to 20, 2024. The fair brings together art galleries from all over the world for an entire weekend. But that’s not all! The fair also extends beyond the walls of the monument, with an artistic program to be discovered throughout Paris.
Exhibitions, installations and performances are organized in emblematic locations around the capital, including the Hôtel de la Marine, the Musée Eugène Delacroix, the forecourt of the Institut de France, the Palais d’Iéna… This year, the Domaine du Palais-Royal also joins in this celebration of contemporary art.
The Domaine is located between the Louvre Museum, the Comédie-Française and the Palais-Royal theater. In the heart of Paris, the garden is home to several works of art, including a monumental installation by Daniel Buren. From October 15 to 26, 2024, new sculptures will be installed in the Domaine, to coincide with the Art Basel Paris fair.
Nearly a dozencontemporary works are on show this autumn, some well-known, such as the Thumb by artist César, others more confidential, such as the spiritual and tribal totems imagined by Roberto Sebastian Matta.
