LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) – Artists, vendors and tattoo enthusiasts are packing the Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview this weekend for the sixth annual Ark-La-Tex Tattoo & Art Expo.

Organizer Chase Alexander said attendance has continued to grow, with crowds moving through the venue and more features added each year to the family-friendly event.

“It’s not just for adults, so even if you’re not getting tattooed, there’s a lot to do,” Alexander said Friday, pointing out a nearby artist painting children’s faces with colorful artwork. “Family friendly, without a doubt.”

Alexander said about 125 tattoo artists are taking part, along with a wide range of vendors displaying art, sculptures and other items.

The expo takes place Friday and Saturday at the Maude Cobb Convention Center, located at 100 Grand Blvd. in Longview. Friday’s hours are from noon to 11 p.m., and Saturday’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
