“I think the nice thing about public art – different to a commercial gallery or a big institution, like the National Gallery, is that I think often people can be a bit timid. If you don’t come from a culture of a family that feels comfortable, [you haven’t] gone to art school, you can feel a bit like, ‘This is not my space’,” Quinlivan says.
