Watch how students of Drawing Fundamentals II, an intermediate skills art class offered on Fridays, spend a typical six-hour and 20-minute session together. Led by full time fine arts instructor Joe Hardesty, they transform blank pieces of paper into stunning works of art as they train to work over long periods of time.
“It creates the circumstances or the kind of setting for a longer, more sustained kind of concentration, which I think is really good training for artists,” Hardesty said, adding that it can also help those who are looking to become designers, illustrators or animators.
