The Delegation of the European Union last evening launched ‘Becoming’, an art exhibition featuring the work of 17 Guyanese artists, presented in observation of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
The event, hosted by the Ambassador of the European Union to Guyana Luca Pierantoni in collaboration with FineArt.gy, sought to explore art as a space of healing, visibility, and expression.
Held at the EU Residence, Bel Air Springs, Georgetown, the featured artists were Antonio Butts, Chevonne Rickford, Chris Bissessar, Christina Izbasa, Courtney Douglas, Demion Mack, Darry Wilson, Dillon Craig, Lisa Thompson, Maharanie Jhillu, Ohene Koama, Oswald Hussein, Ransford Simon, Royston Hytimiah, Tahirih Gerrard, Tammy Walker and Tara Bentick.
