The sister of a Russian artist jailed for an anti-war protest has told the BBC that she fears for her sister’s life.
Anna Skochilenko, whose sister Sasha Skochilenko was sentenced to seven years in prison for replacing supermarket pricing labels with anti-Ukraine war messages in March 2022, said she was proud of her sister but afraid that she could die behind bars.
Anna Skochilenko told the BBC that her sister represented everything the Russian authorities oppose.
