The Japanese boy band BE:FIRST will officially be in charge of the next ONE PIECE ending theme song. The announcement was made on the 2nd day of the ONE PIECE DAY ’24 event, with more details set to be revealed this fall.
Other announcements for the franchise were a Roblox game, a production update on WIT Studio’s THE ONE PIECE remake, and a new project in the form of the ONE PIECE BASE application. The new ending will be the anime’s 21st. The current one is Maki Otsuki’s “Dear sunrise,” which has been used since the start of the Egghead Island arc.
The ONE PIECE manga is written and drawn by Eiichiro Oda. It currently has 1122 chapters, while the anime adaptation is at 1115 episodes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, and Crunchyroll streams the anime. They describe the story:
Monkey. D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become the king of all pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line and beyond, this is one captain who’ll never give up until he’s claimed the greatest treasure on Earth: the Legendary One Piece!
The live-action season also confirmed that it’s begun production for the 2nd season.
