The seasoned artists who founded Ogunquit River Painters are Claire Bigbee, Ric Della Bernarda, Paul Noel, and Douglas Taylor. Each of these artists will host other artists for plein air painting sessions at various locations for a day.
To date, locations include Cliff House Maine in Cape Neddick on Thursday, June 13; Hosmer Estate in York on Wednesday, July 17; Arundel Farm Gallery on Wednesday, July 24; Hosmer Estate in York on Wednesday, Aug. 14; Hosmer Estate in York, on Wednesday, Aug. 28; and Clay Hill Farm in Ogunquit, on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
“Artists are usually in solitude working on their creations alone in their studio,” said Della Bernarda, of the Ogunquit River Painters. “This is an opportunity to meet other artists and share creative processes. These planned activities support the mission of the group of restoring art to the Ogunquit area.”
The painting events are free for any artist to join, and spectators are welcome to attend and watch. As some locations have limited parking, prior registration is required.
