An exciting new creative event has been added to the 2024 calendar at Ardgay Public Hall.
The Kyle of Sutherland Art and Photography Fair will be held in the hall on Saturday, June 22, from 10am-4pm.
The hall is already home to the Ardgay Community Market along with an annual book fair and regular Repair Cafes.
A spokesperson said: “The idea of holding an art and photography fair came from conversations at Ardgay Community Markets.
“It will add to the regular creative activities which are already taking place in Ardgay and bring together local artists and photographers.
“The committee organising the event has been meeting regularly and considering how to maximise community involvement.
“We have all the local primary schools and our local Ladybird Club involved and are delighted that Bonar Bridge Christmas Party Group will be providing refreshments.”
The art fair is now over-subscribed but organisers are asking artists and photographers who were unable to exhibit this year to register an interest so that their details can be kept for next year.
The paintings and photographers on display will be for sale.
The spokesperson added: “Many thanks to the art groups who have given us help and advice, including the Kyle of Sutherland Heritage Society, East Sutherland Art Society and Inverness Art Society.
“We are very much looking forward to what is sure to be a fun and successful day for all.”
