Participants were tasked to take nature and reality as reference, and were taught basic techniques in drawing such as color, texture, value, and perspective. They were also introduced to the concept of abstraction, specifically how to translate and render reality into various artistic interpretations.

Participants were able to apply these techniques through a practice session on site at the ground floor galleries of the AAG, allowing them to explore different subjects and render their own drawings. Whether they were practicing artists or beginners, everyone left with a new perspective on how simple observations can turn into creative imagery.
