The exhibition, called ‘just a moment’, is taking place at a Pokesdown gallery and features the distinct works of Craig Seabright and Chantale Paruit from CNC Arts.

‘Just a moment’ is the second in a trilogy of exhibitions that celebrates the 18-year partnership between Craig and Chantale.

Running until February 21, this showcase highlights works created over the past year, exploring how time is experienced both individually and collaboratively.

The exhibition is being hosted at the Rhythm The Store Basement Gallery, a new underground venue which is dedicated to supporting emerging and established artists in the heart of Pokesdown.

Craig is a former lecturer in art, who spent years designing community projects and has exclusively used his foot to draw after sustaining nerve damage to his arms 29 years ago.

Chantale Paruit, a trained montessori directoress with a background in primary and special needs teaching, presents work that serves as her own form of personal therapy.

Heavily influenced by the art of indigenous cultures and the search for a universal language, her pieces are said to offer a sanctuary for the viewer.

Chantale said: “I would hope that my work may provide a moment’s reprieve from the bustle of everyday life.”
