Milton Cordoba is an Argentinian fine artist, illustrator and muralist now living in Bristol with his British wife, Larissa Roberts – who also lived in Argentina as a child.
Early in the course of his 20-year career, Cordoba worked for Prada in Buenos Aires, where he also studied graphic design and fashion drawing, before training as an educator back in his home town of Santa Elena.
Moving to the UK, he says, has afforded him “new perspectives” for his work, including new collaborations with Roberts.

The latest of these projects is a one-off Fashion Drawing Workshop at Sparks, on October 11.
The pair have designed the event to be a “celebration of the indigenous heritage of South America as a response to the day which is marked as Columbus Day.
“We will focus on fashion figure drawing, exploring proportions in a flexible and creative way”, they explain. “If you prefer, you can also concentrate on designing garments directly.
“The workshop takes inspiration from the stories of the Indigenous peoples of South America, particularly from Amazonia, the Andes and Patagonia. We will also showcase garments Milton has designed inspired by different regions of South America, explaining the meaning behind each detail, colour, and texture.”
No experience is required for workshop participants, other than “an interest in celebrating cultures and design (and empanadas and wine)”.
Fashion Drawing Workshop: Fashion design through Latin American myths and Indigenous heritage is at Sparks on October 11 at 6-8pm.
