Lorraine Kelly’s makeup artist has shared her top tips to keep the ITV presenter looking fresh and youthful – and one of them can be picked up at Sephora
If you’ve ever wondered how Lorraine Kelly’s skin looks flawless after decades of early morning wake up calls, I’ve got the answer. The veteran breakfast ITV presenter’s makeup artist has revealed her top tips for maintaining a youthful look on the 65-year-old.
In a YouTube tutorial, Helen Hand, the beauty guru behind Lorraine’s stunning visage, shared that her go-to foundation for the star’s base is Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation, which is available at Sephora for £62.
Helen shared her philosophy: “I always think a good head of hair does make you look young. Years ago, they used to say ‘cut your hair as you get older’, not necessarily.

“Just keep it soft, I always use that word. Even with makeup, as we get older, you can use any colour but just keep everything soft. If it’s hard, it’s ageing.”
Viewers were quick to notice Lorraine’s luminous complexion, with one asking: “What foundation have you used on Lorraine in this video? It is really dewy.”
Another fan requested: “Please would you show us the makeup tutorial for the face. It’s a fabulous look”, reports the Mirror.
Chanel Les Beiges Foundation

A natural-looking foundation that infuses the skin with the radiance of a day spent in the great outdoors. Its fine, silky texture glides over skin and forms a layer that is both invisible to the eye and imperceptible to touch, like a second skin.
The Chanel Les Beiges foundation boasts over 40% water content, offering a fresh and light emulsion that promises all-day hydration and protection for your skin. Its polymer component acts as an emulsifying agent, helping to reduce the visibility of blemishes and fine lines while smoothing out pores for a flawless finish.
Helen picked shades B30 (medium shade, neutral undertone) and B40 (intense medium shade, neutral undertone) for Lorraine, though customers can browse online to discover their perfect match from the range.
The foundation boasts a lightweight, velvety formula that seamlessly melts into skin, creating an undetectable finish that feels like nothing at all — essentially becoming your second skin.
For those seeking an alternative, Chantecaille’s Future Skin Oil-Free Gel Foundation, £83, has won over skincare enthusiasts who crave natural-looking coverage. Hollywood favourites Elizabeth Olsen and Emily Blunt also wore the foundation for their on-stage appearance. The brand has dropped up to 40% off on selected skincare and makeup sets – the Lip Trio, including a lip liner, lip gloss and lipstick, is now reduced to £55.20 from £92.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Beautiful Skin Foundation, priced at £39, provides buildable medium coverage with a natural, radiant glow. It’s packed with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, rose complex, and patented BixActiv, which targets pigmentation and helps reduce visible shine and pores.
But the Chanel foundation has earned praise from satisfied customers. One said: “Good coverage without drying out mature skin. This is the best alternative since Channel discontinued Vitaluminier, which I had used for many years.”
However, not everyone was convinced, with one shopper comparing the Les Beiges foundation to the discontinued Vitaluminier, explaining: “It does not have the luminosity of your old one.”
On the flip side, another beauty enthusiast couldn’t contain their excitement about the glowing finish from the Chanel Les Beiges foundation, gushing: “Natural radiance in a bottle. I have been absolutely loving this foundation and the natural look it gives. It’s adaptable with the finish, depending on how you apply it, works incredibly with just your fingers and even more perfecting with a brush.”
The Chanel foundation that Lorraine was sporting is formulated with Kalanchoe extract, which forms a protective barrier on the skin’s surface against the damaging effects of indoor and outdoor pollution. The Healthy Glow Booster pigments illuminate the skin with a subtle satin finish, providing an immediate radiance boost of 77%.
