HOUSTON – Take a stroll at Midtown Houston Art in the Park this weekend!

On April 20, families and friends can experience a world of art with live music, art installations, creative car displays, vibrant chalk art drawings, and more for free.

Plus, Midtown Houston is paying tribute to the legendary Maestro Duke Ellington in recognition of National Jazz Appreciation Month. DJ Mav will be spinning modern tunes, and the Hustlers Brass Band will play soulful sounds that will transport you to the heart of the French Quarter.

If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, gather your family and friends for immersive art sessions called ArtJam. Pop Shop America’s Brittany Bly will lead the guests in three interactive art classes that will unlock your creative side while listening to smooth, jazzy sounds.

  • At 10 a.m., join her for Jazzy String Art, where you can make a piece of musical art.
  • And at 2 p.m., jazz up your art at their first-ever Dot Painting class.

These classes are free, and you can take your creation home. Reserve your spot now before they’re all gone.
