Mr Brown, who has organised the event with Tamworth Arts and Events, said top street artists would be painting live on Saturday.

South Staffordshire College will run an environmental arts workshop.

People can try out activities including breakdancing, doodle wall art and chalk art during other workshops at the arts festival, which is free to enter.

“This event celebrates the richness of arts and culture in Tamworth,” Mr Brown said.

“We’re grateful for the support of the Commonwealth Inclusive Community Fund and Arts Council England, which has allowed us to offer this exciting line-up of entertainment and workshops for the whole community to enjoy.”

Nue has planned a range of activities in the town after securing £56,000 funding from several groups.
