Claude Bourbon, known for his unique fusion of blues, jazz, folk, classical, and Spanish guitar, will be performing at Haverhub on Friday, February 14, at 8pm.
The artist, who has been described as a ‘stunning guitar virtuoso’ by Altadena News in the USA, will visit as part of the last leg of his tour.
His music is a blend of influences from across the globe, including the Mississippi Delta, the Balearic Islands, the Balkans, and the United States.
His style is also influenced by renowned musicians such as Richie Blackmore, Joaquin Rodrigo, JJ Cale, and J.S. Bach.

“He has the gift of brilliant sequencing, and the result is a hypnotic voyage along a river of songs and instrumentals.”

“From classical openings, across a whole continent of cultural roots, holding audience attention under a musical spell, his music would not have been out of place in the courts of Emperors and Kings.”
The Hook, a publication based in Charlottesville, USA, described him as a “unique figure today” and said his playing is “almost indescribable.”
