BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport-Bossier’s newest casino is offering local artists a chance to showcase their talents in the new multimillion-dollar facility.

On August 12, the Cordish Companies partnered with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and Bossier Arts Council to issue an open call to artists of northwest Louisiana for concept submissions and a chance to display their work inside of the new $250+ million Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, which is opening in the first quarter of 2025 in the East Bank Cultural District in Bossier City.

The artist call requests fresh, local artwork that captures the spirit of Live! Casino’s vibrant entertainment, gaming, dining, and nightlife experience.

“Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is dedicated to supporting the local community in the Shreveport-Bossier market. Partnering with the Bossier and Shreveport Arts Councils is a way to bring the community into Live!, shine a spotlight on local talent and enhance our venue with local flair,” said John Chaszar, executive vice president and general manager of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. “This region has an impressive roster of talented artists, and we are excited to see how they convey the culture of the state and personify the essence of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana through their craft.”

To be eligible for the application, artists must be on https://nwla.culturalyst.com/explore and be from Region 7, which includes Bossier, Caddo, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, DeSoto, Red River, Sabine and Natchitoches parishes. The artwork can be any medium, must be original, framable, and measure 36″x36″ inches.

An anonymous gallery panel made up of Live! Casino representatives, professional artists, and art professionals will select 12 artists to create a finalized version of their concept piece. Artists will be compensated $1000 for their work.
