On her @minxiesbeauty account, Jodie shared: “This is what I buy from Shein as a professional bridal makeup artist.”

The first item she can’t do without are Shein’s lashes.

Jodie explained: “These two are my permanent favourites, this is the half lash that they do.”

The Eyesay set costs £2 for seven pairs, which she thought was “ridiculous” and very affordable, and the second lashes she loves are the Asiteo lashes.

Jodie continued: “They’re really good quality and they put them on a lot of my bridal party and my brides.

“Again, absolute bargain. I think they’re about £2.50 for seven pairs and the band is really thick on them.”

Next up were some mini make-up sponges, and she said: “I’ve bought these because I want to test them out but they’re really good quality because I go through so many of them.

“I like the little ones because I can carry more of them in my kit.”

I did a plus size Shein wedding dress haul & fell in love with a £41 gown- there’s no need to spend thousands to look hot

Jodie has to regularly glam up multiple people in the bridal party, including bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride and of course, the bride herself.

And this means needing multiple mascara heads for hygiene reasons.

She raved about Shein’s multipacks, saying: “These are the silicone mascara wands.

“I like the silicone ones because you waste a lot less mascara.

“Those were really, really cheap.”

The professional make-up artist likes to blend products on a plastic palette from Shein too.

She explained: “I use it for foundations and concealers and things instead of my hand if I remember, if not just using the back of my hand.”

What is Shein and is it legit?

Shein is an online-only fast-fashion retailer, based out of China, that has become a number one shopping destination for many around the world.

The company was valued at $66billion in 2023, dwarfing that of popular high street brands Zara and H&M.

The fashion retailer was founded in late 2008, by entrepreneur and marketing specialist Xu Yangtian, also known as Chris Xu.

Shein is a legitimate selling website and is not a phishing scam.

But you may receive a disappointing order or run into shipping issues if you order from the site, according to reviews.

There have been swathes of quality complaints, which makes sense when looking at the price tag.

Jodie also recommended their lip scrub, as it feels like you are “scrubbing your lips with strawberry sugar”.

She added: “My lips feel amazing after it so I’m going to get more of these for my kit.”

The final products she recommends from Shein is a brush to add “shimmer” to the body after you have finished on the face, and a non-slip mat to put make-up on.

Her video has racked up over 112,000 views and nearly 5,000 likes, so has clearly struck a chord with many beauty lovers.

One person wrote: “SHEIN eyelashes are so good!

“I only buy mine from there now, I’m going to have to get some of those mini beauty blenders.”Another added: “their lashes are amazing.”

Mixies Beauty operates over South Wales, and they do destination weddings too.
