Make-up artists across the world have discovered myriad ways to make skins of all ages look beautiful.
The latest make-up to have firmly established their role as an anti-ageing strategy are freckle pens.
According to one professional artist, freckles tend to make the face look younger and are the ultimate anti-ageing hack.
“My foolproof tip will absolutely ensure you look younger,” Jeannie Giannone said in a recent YouTube clip.

“For the first step, I like to create a glowing base, because to me, glowing skin, hydrated skin, equals youthful and fresh.”
First, the beauty influencer applies a squalane oil to her face to ensure effortless blending.
She follows up with a smidgen of concealer applied around the eyes and nose to erase unwanted redness.
Once the base is finished, Jeannie uses a bright red cherry blush, in a cream consistency, to mimic blood rushing to the cheeks.
“The reason I recommend a blush like this is because this kind of blush, in this colour, actually mimics the blood rushing to your cheeks when you get that flushed youthful look,” she said.
For a natural effect, think about where you naturally get flushed and apply the product on those areas with a brush.
“It looks really pretty and it looks natural, it doesn’t even look like blush,” the make-up artist declared.
“Now for the tip that I told you that would guarantee you look younger; freckles,” she continued.
Not only do freckles make the best natural contour, but they also add definition to the nose.

“I create these freckles on my face, yes I know it doesn’t make me look like I’m 12 but it lends an air of youthfulness,” said Jeannie.
The most realistic effect of freckles from make-up comes from careful layering with a pen, in a light, dark brown or black shade shade.
Use the tip of the pen in small constellations of three to five dots, creating different shapes and sizes for a more natural finish.
Once the design is in place, lightly pat it down with a blending sponge to erase the excess product.
