Meghan Markle and Daniel Martin with makeup products

Meghan Markle’s longtime makeup artist, Daniel Martin, returns for the second season of her Netflix show.

It’s the look of love.

If Meghan Markle is leaning into her laid-back style even more on Season 2 of her Netflix cooking and lifestyle show, “With Love, Meghan,” it’s partially because her longtime makeup artist, Daniel Martin, is on the scene (and behind the scenes).

After making an appearance in the first season, the celebrity glam-maker is back — both as a guest and as Markle’s makeup maestro, helping her achieve a natural look Vogue dubbed “less is more.”

“I just kept thinking about what my girlfriends would do if they’re hanging out,” Martin told the outlet of the aesthetic he was aiming for, saying, “Her makeup overall is a lot lighter than last [season].”

Since Markle has dry skin, Martin — who is also Tatcha’s Global Director of Artistry — first prepped the host with a duo of hydrating, skin-barrier-supporting skincare products: Tatcha Dewy Milk Moisturizer and the same brand’s Longevity Serum.

Jennifer Aniston and Selena Gomez are also fans of the Japanese skincare company, with the latter once telling the magazine the Dewy Skin line is a “love” for her.

To give Markle a naturally polished look, Martin also used Sarah Creal Face Flex Concealer and Orcé Come Closer Serum Foundation, the latter of which is designed for a flawless second-skin finish.

The featherweight foundation also features skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid and antioxidants to help hydrate, perfect for those with dry-prone skin like Markle’s.

To complete the look, Martin used the Make Up For Ever Artist to Go Eyeshadow Palette and a duo of cheek-sculpting products — Live Tinted Blush Crush Liquid Blush and Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream — followed by a neutral lip, polished brows and strategically placed powder.

“You have to understand where you want to balance out skin tone, where to powder versus not powder,” he said. “I wanted her skin to look like skin. So it’s about having that healthy radiance, but not looking too shiny or [too] matte [and] flat.”

Martin appears as a guest on an episode with Momofuku founder David Chang and Milk Bar’s Christina Tosi, discussing a topic that’s a far cry from cosmetics: proper grilling techniques.

“We live in a time of urgency,” he reflected. “Grilling makes you pause.”
