A street in Bristol will be revamped with vibrant artwork to celebrate its diversity.
The event on Stapleton Road on Thursday will feature colourful flags on lampposts, murals, workshops, food and poetry.
The Eastside Community Trust, one of the organisers, said the street was “often seen in a negative light” and the event was an opportunity for residents to “feel proud”.
Artist Molly Hawkins said it was “about more than just creating art – it’s about creating a shared experience”.
“I’ve been so inspired by people of all ages and cultures coming together, sharing stories and connecting to create this collaboration,” she said.

Ms Hawkins will paint a mural on the side of a house on nearby Clare Road for the event.
Zoe Gibbons, another mural painter, said she would paint four images along the road.
“I have called them the ‘Aunties of Easton’ as each woman is deep rooted in her community, which cuts across all ages and backgrounds,” she said.
“The positive efforts of all four women help empower others.”
Other artists and organisations involved include Studio Meraki, Bristol Horn Youth Concern, Words n Pictures Collective and Peace of Art.

Becky Whitmore, from Eastside Community Trust, said the team was “excited” to share the artworks with everyone.
“All of the artists involved have been really passionate and committed to this project and have done a great job of reflecting the spirit and diversity of Stapleton Road through their work,” she said.
“We are proud to have worked closely with the community to bring these visions to life and we hope everyone likes them.”
The trust added: “The events are an opportunity for local people to feel proud of the street and occupy it in a positive way.
“The road is often seen in a negative light and this project will show the road and its businesses in a new light.”
The main event will take place on Thursday under the Fox Park Viaduct by the painted pillars.
