Annabel Hull and Leiva Hollows Butwell have been acknowledged for their exceptional creative talents in the Buckinghamshire Young Artist of the Year competition for 2025.
Miss Hull took the top prize, being named Young Artist of the Year for her compelling piece, ‘Vanity’.
Miss Butwell’s artwork, ‘Persephone Eating the Pomegranate’, was also recognised, receiving a highly commended award.
Headteacher Nicola Renyard said: “We are incredibly proud of Annabel and Leiva.
“Their work is innovative, thoughtful and deeply skilled.
“To see two former students recognised at county level is a testament not only to their creativity but also to the dedication of our Art Department in inspiring young artists to explore ambitious ideas.”
Although Annabel is now studying at the University of Leeds, she continues to credit Wycombe High for helping her build the confidence and discipline needed to pursue her artistic passions.
The school’s reputation as a hub for creative talent is further enhanced by these achievements.
Moreover, the school will also receive the Arts Award School Shield for 2025.
This prestigious accolade reflects the high standard of creativity across the school.
