WE’VE been eagerly waiting for this one on the artsdesk and I only went and missed the press preview… Needed A Reminder (see what I did there?)
This is what You Get has opened at the Ashmolean, Oxford and runs to January 11.

This major exhibition explores the visual art of Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke and the iconic images of Radiohead.
More than 180 objects are on display from the artists’ 30-year collaboration, including original paintings for album covers, digital compositions, etchings, unpublished drawings, and lyrics in their sketchbooks.

This Is What You Get reveals how the artists experimented with early technology, and explore the evolution of the images for Radiohead’s legendary albums and Yorke’s later projects.
To date the band, which was formed in Oxfordshire in the mid-1980s, has sold 30 million records worldwide.

Developed and curated with Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke, the show offers a unique opportunity to look at the creative forces behind some of the most important and influential music of the past few decades.
Please note some artworks and labels in the exhibition include strong language.

Make a day of it and explore the rest of the Ashmolean while you are there.
