A vibrant tribute to Paignton’s historic seafront is now on permanent display in the newly refurbished Talk of the Town pub in Paignton.

The oil painting, by Torquay artist Maxine Adams, was specially commissioned by J D Wetherspoon to take pride of place in their newly extended premises following a £2 million makeover.

Maxine is a well-established artist who has received international success and recognition selling to private collections in America, Canada and Scotland.

Her work, which features local scenes, seascapes and animals, can be seen in various galleries and exhibitions around the SW.

She has recently completed a very successful solo exhibition at Teignmouth Pavilion and you can look out for her artwork at Framework Gallery in Preston where she is the featured artist of the month for July.

Later this year, a selection of her paintings will be on display at the Spanish Barn Torre Abbey from 19 to 27 October as part of the Torbay Guild of Artists exhibition.
