Argentinian artist Mónica Aveni is exhibiting her works at the Casa de Las Tejerinas in Estepona until April 2.
The exhibition, ‘Obras nuevas’, is a stunning exhibition of 38 paintings by the acclaimed Argentine artist Mónica ‘Ana’ Aveni. Open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 8pm, and Saturdays the same with a gap between 2pm and 4pm, the free show promises an insight into the artist’s meticulous vision.
Aveni, who now calls Estepona home, brings her rich heritage and global experience to this solo show. Born in Mendoza, Argentina, she studied art history and mastered watercolour, with her work featured in books like La Actualidad del Arte Argentino. Her career boasts highlights such as a permanent piece in France’s Musée du Libérateur Général San Martin, murals in Buenos Aires hospitals, and exhibitions from Florence’s Galleria d’Arte Mentana to the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.
Estepona’s Casa de las Tejerinas in Plaza de las Flores welcomes Aveni back to Sala 1 after her successful joint show with Sandra Mariño in March 2024. Her latest collection blends bold expression with delicate technique, reflecting her journey across continents. It is free to enter and a chance to contemplate world-class art locally.
