AVONCROFT Museum has congratulated its prize winning artists following it’s recent Open Air Art Competition.
On Sunday (August 18), a total of 21 adults and seven under-16s took part in Avoncroft’s competiton which saw painters sit down in front of different buildings dotted around the museum and paint them.
Following the judges decision, Alan Rudge was crowned first place winner in the adults category with his depiction of the Toll House.
Deborah Living won the second placed prize with her painting of the Nailer’s Cottage and Madoline A Dela Rosa earned herself a spot on the podium with her rendition of the Town House.
And teenager Rosie was crowned U-16s winner with her piece showcasing the Windmill.
A spokesperson for Avoncroft Museum said: “Congratulations to everyone who took part in today’s Avoncroft Open Air Art Competition but particularly to the winners.
“Many thanks to Avoncroft Arts, the judges, our volunteers and of course the artists for making it such a splendid day.”
Avoncroft Museum will now showcase all of the finished artwork in its Guesten Hall on September 7 and 8. The competition was organised in association with Avoncroft Arts.
