The event, held in Harrogate, saw artist Lucy Pittaway and Julian Norton from Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet greet visitors at Ms Pittaway’s gallery, where they chatted, signed books, and autographed artwork.

The award-winning artist regularly holds these ‘Meet the Artist’ events at her galleries, where fans are invited to join her for conversation, questions and refreshments.

The pair are long-time friends and previously appeared together on an episode of The Yorkshire Vet, where Ms Pittaway taught Mr Norton how to paint in her signature style.

During the programme, Ms Pittaway created a painting featuring Mr Norton’s beloved dog Emmy.

The artwork, titled One Vet and His Dog, is now displayed in Mr Norton’s veterinary practice.

Prints of the piece have become one of Ms Pittaway’s most popular works.

The painting also features on the cover of Mr Norton’s latest book, The Yorkshire Vet, Back to Herriot Country.

The One Vet and His Dog collection is available on Ms Pittaway’s website and at her galleries in Harrogate, Richmond, York, Yarm, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Keswick and Bowness.
