Artificial intelligence is not our future overlord but a “child” that humanity has a responsibility to “co-parent”, according to one of the rare artists who has embraced machine learning to exhibit in a landmark Sydney show.
Fabien Giraud’s film The Feral is being shot and edited by an AI system linked to cameras and microphones on a hill in central France. The work in progress is being screened at Data Dreams, a Museum of Contemporary Art exhibition where 10 artists are exploring the evolving relationship between human and machine intelligence.
