London Art Fair launched the 2025 art season in style last night, showcasing captivating installations, insightful talks, exciting partnerships, and over 130 galleries. Here are 10 to see at the London Art Fair 2025, running until Sunday, 26th January.

An artist you definately need to see is Maxim Burnett at Brushes With Greatness (BWG) a British figurative oil painter based in London. Blimey ā€“ big, heavy, monumental paintings framed in shinny gold definately something to admire on a wintery day/night.

* Also a special mention for the best ponytail of LAF2025 to the gallerist Jack Trodd.

2 Artist: Hecate Asterick at TIN MAN ART, London 51

Who is Hecate? an ancient Greek goddess but as an artist not much info out there either on the LAF website or TIN MAN ARTā€™s ! The mystery remains unsolved but the art is small intricate & beautiful.

3 Artist: Dayron Gonzales at Galerie Olivier Waltman, Paris 21

Dayron is a Cuban artist based in Miami. He studied at the Superior Institute of Industrial Design for a year. Then, he studied painting at San Alejandro National Art Academy where he graduated in 2007.

4 New art looking old: Ram Dongre at Art Incept Presented by Virginia Damsta P7

Ram Dongre makes new art that looks very old or as the gallery says: Through his innovative practice, Ram crafts a unique visual language that bridges heritage and modernity, inviting deeper exploration into the evolving dialogue between tradition, culture and contemporary art.

5 Musuem Space: the Sainsbury Centre

Housed in a specially designed pavilion at the front of London Art Fair, the Museum Partnership aims to provide a prominent London platform and significant opportunity for art enthusiasts to engage with an exhibition of exceptional museum quality works.

This year LAF has partnered with the Sainsbury Centre brining highlights from their world class collection to the Fair,Ā including pieces by Francis Bacon, Alberto Giacometti, Martine Gutierrez, Pablo Picasso, Yinka Shonibare and many more

6 Our Favourite Space: The Print & Editions + Platform space featuring the Art Bar

An enclosed space upstairs featuring 15 stands with its own Art Bar its like a mini LAF. Its also a nice mixture between a quite commercial presentation from the print & edition spaces and a more thoughtfull ā€˜what is life aboutā€™ kind of vibe from Platform.

7 Stand Design: Moniker Projects M4

I never thought weā€™d see amazing mid century furniture at LAF but at Moniker projects you get Arne Jacobsen chairs in rosewood with prints from Kaws, Bridget Riley, Tracey Emin, JosĆ© ParlĆ” and even Damien Hirst.

* You can spot the galleristā€™s Frankie Sheaā€™s foot behind the white door at the back.

In a complete contrast to Moniker (but it still works) we have Annkaā€™s stand featuring multiple artists specialising in contemporay & digital and Phygital (a bit of both) we dont have a list of artists unfortunately but another reason to go and see the work IRL.

9 Woodcut: Bill Rock ā€“ David The Cat at Stoney Road Press 32A

I like a good woodcut and this one is super cute ā€“ a good lesson in keeping your eyeā€™s peeled when walking around the fair ā€“ just caught a glimps of this cat but very glad i did .

10 Installation: Ya Laā€™ford

And finally make sure you donā€™t miss Ya Laā€™fordā€™s installation upstairs as you enter the Encounters section be emersed in her signature interplay of geometry, light and space.
