It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tara Swane Lynch of Brighton, MA. She sadly took her own life on September 30th, 2024, at the age of 27.

Born on October 8th, 1996, in Concord, MA, Tara was a talented glass artist and passionate teacher who touched the lives of many through her artistry and vibrant spirit. A charismatic and animated individual, Tara was the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her. When you hear the figure of speech that a person could instantly light up the room the moment they entered it, this rang especially true and deep for Tara. She had a unique ability to appreciate all of life’s smallest moments, inspiring others to embrace each day to the fullest. She made an instant and enduring impact on everyone who met her, and on thousands who never will.

Tara graduated from Groton Dunstable Regional High School in 2015 and went on to pursue her passion for art at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts and Glass in 2021, she worked at her alma mater as a teacher’s aide, and a glass artist/instructor at Fiamma Glass Studio in Waltham, MA. The studio was her home-away-from-home, and she enjoyed every day working alongside talented glass artists, her friends, and studio owners, Trina and Dave. Throughout her career, she became a respected figure in the glass community, known for her creativity and dedication to her craft. Tara loved to cook and found joy in trying new dishes and recipes and loved sharing her food with friends and family.

Tara is survived by her loving parents, Gerard and Donna Lynch of Groton, MA, and her sister, Cailyn Lynch of Hudson, NH. Tara and Cailyn were best friends, sharing a fiercely strong sisterly bond that will remain with Cailyn forever. Tara is also survived by many wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a multitude of friends, especially Quinn.

Visitation will be held at McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113), Pepperell, MA, on Saturday, October 12th, from 1pm to 5pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
