Miquel Barceló, Spain’s greatest living artist, and Antoni Gaudi, the architect of the Sagrada Familia, have been reunited in a new exhibition.
Barceló, 67, took six years to complete a stunning ceramic mural inside the cathedral of La Palma, Mallorca, that paid homage to Gaudi’s decade-long restoration of the Gothic temple more than a century earlier.
Now the artists have been brought together once more in a retrospective of Barceló’s work that has opened in La Pedrera, Gaudi’s masterpiece residential building in Barcelona.
Barceló, who creates his artworks in a former brick factory, has created more than 4,000 pieces so far
