Nigerian musician Young Jonn has stated that he became an artist by accident.
In a recent interview with Revolt, the producer-turned-singer made the above disclosure, adding that life happened.
He said: “I never really planned to be an artist, but life played out.”
Jonn described his move from producer to musician as “a learning process.”
“It’s an entirely other ballgame. It is a whole separate hustle, grind, and business. It took me time, but I think I’m getting hold of it.”
Young Jonn cited Olamide, Kizz Daniel, and Lil Kesh as sources of inspiration in establishing himself as a musician.
He collaborated with Olamide’s YBNL Nation early on in his career, producing many songs for Lil Kesh, Olamide himself, and other artists on the label.
