Upon starting Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, players will notice that out of the 14 Lives, only 12 of them are available as the Farmer and Artist are locked. That’s because you need to complete specific main quests to gain access to hidden islands found in the past to unlock both the Farmer and the Artist Life in Fantasy Life i.
Unlocking the Farmer and the Artist Lives is a long process that is deeply connected to the main story, so make sure to focus on completing the main quest tasks if you wish to have all Lives available.

How To Unlock The Farmer Life In Fantasy Life i
To unlock the Farmer Life in Fantasy Life i, complete The Polturnip and The Leafe main quest, and then head to Anne and get the Farmer’s License. Trigger the From Farmers, With Love quest if you wish to learn the mechanics of the Life.
Complete The Polturnip And The Leafe Main Quest
During The Polturnip And The Leafe quest in Fantasy Life i, players must find a way to remove the giant vegetable to save Edward. After talking with Anne and Rem, you travel to the Faraway Island to search for a Farmer in the Guild.
The Farmer in question is sadly a Strangeling, so, after a lot of exploring the dangerous woods, return to the present and visit the Goddess to revert Pino back to his human form. Help the tree get over its cold and then go to the present to save Edward. At this point, you can pause the main quest and return to the past to Anne and get the Farmer’s License.
Complete From Farmers, With Love Quest
After players accept the Farmer Life, you can trigger the first Farmer’s Story quest called From Farmers, With Love. Return to the Faraway Island and speak with the Farmer Life Master to learn the basics of farming.
During the quest, the apprentice is looking for the Super Sweet Onion. Ask a Leafe about its location and travel there to learn how to harvest extra-large crops. Completing the story quest will increase your rank from Novice to Fledgling.
Unlock Farm At Base Camp
Now that you have learned the basics of the Farmer Life in Fantasy Life i, you can return to the Base Camp in the present to start your own farm. Enter the Guild building and purchase Farms under the Infrastructure category from Cooke. The seeds can be bought from Marco’s Shop.
For starters, the available seeds are pumpkin, radish, potato, and onion. The more players progress through the story, the more seeds become available at Marco’s Shop.
How To Unlock The Artist Life In Fantasy Life i
To unlock the Artist Life in Fantasy Life i, complete The Artist’s Treasure Hunt main quest and then head to Anne and get the Artist’s License. Trigger the Set My Soul Ablaze quest if you wish to learn the mechanics of the Life.
Complete The Artist’s Treasure Hunt Main Quest
Similarly to The Polturnip And The Leafe quest, The Artist’s Treasure Hunt starts the same. Edward is yet again locked behind an obstacle and the only way to save him is by fixing the destroyed statue.
Return to the past and speak with Anne and Rem again to visit the Tropical Isles and find the Artist Guild in Fantasy Life i. After you find the treasure and witness the art competition between Paulette and her rival, Kikyo, you can return to Anne in the past and get the Artist’s license.
Complete Set My Soul Ablaze! Quest
Once players embrace the Artist Life in Fantasy Life i, accept the Set My Soul Ablaze! Quest if you wish to learn the basics. Go back to Paulette, who sends you to look for her apprentice to test your skills. Once you pass her test, players must then help her complete a special request for a client.
Approach the workbench and craft the Jovial Mask by completing the mini-game. Give it to the client to finish the Set My Soul Ablaze quest and master the basics of an Artist Life. Now, you can create various pieces to decorate your house and the Base Camp.
