FOURTH year fine art students have started showcasing their work in Elgin this week as part of a final year exhibit.
The work, which is currently being displayed at UHI Moray, has been open to members of the public to view from 9.30am until 4.30pm since yesterday with the exhibition set to run until June 15.
A spokesperson for UHI Moray said: “The eight fine art students have covered an impressive range of themes from healing through making, the power of touch, rewiring our relationships to ecology, Gaelic culture and identity, social norms around gender, imagery’s evocation of memories, a unique blend of classical portraiture with punk culture and the challenge posed by artificial intelligence to art.”
The work takes its creative inspiration from artists such as Kiki Smith, David Lynch, Rembrandt, Jean Michael Basquiat and many more.
Featuring artists include: Claire Davenport, John Ferguson, Beverley Fox, Emma Justice, Duncan May, Kiara-Isabella Mackenzie, Gizela Trzmiel and Jennifer Upson.
The exhibition itself is the culmination of a four-year Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art programme.
