New images of Terrifier 3 have been released, revealing a closer look at the upcoming slasher sequel, including a first-look preview of Victoria after being possessed. Terrifier 2 ended with Art the Clown being reborn from Victoria, setting the stage for his continued attempt at going after Sienna, who previously decapitated him. This set the stage not only for his return in the upcoming sequel, but also the return of the franchise’s original main character, who is now possessed. Both of them mean the next movie might be one of the more horrifying installments so far.
Now, USA Today has revealed new images from Terrifier 3, teasing what to expect from the upcoming slasher sequel. Can Terrifier 3 Be Even Better Than The Previous Movie?
While Terrifier 3‘s release date is October 11, 2024, the movie will be a Christmas-themed slasher, as Art chases after Sienna at her aunt and uncle’s house during the holidays. The teaser trailer for the film is already indicative of a much darker story, with the clown antagonist implied to have killed a child while dressed as Santa. This coupled with Victoria’s return means the new installment may contain some of the most shocking, horrific moments of the franchise so far. However, it’s unclear just how violent the movie is going to be compared to Terrifier 2.
The first sequel in the slasher series garnered a reputation for its incredibly detailed kills, which included very gory scenes that were over-the-top in their presentation. Terrifier 3 is likely to continue this trend, as the new images suggest plenty of imagery and kills that will include disturbing amounts of blood and damaged flesh. Because of how destructive Art is to his victims so far, it’s unclear if the sequel will top its predecessor. However, with Victoria now in play, there could be many unpredictable moments to shock and appall.
