En Plein Air Painting
August 22 – 24

A cornerstone of the Twin Trees Festival, the En Plein Air Painting workshop is back by popular demand. This three-day event is designed to cater to both beginners and experienced artists, with a strong emphasis on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for those new to painting.

Participants will have the chance to paint in some of the most stunning locations in Co. Laois, including:

Heywood Gardens: A historic garden designed by Edwin Lutyens, with breathtaking landscapes that offer endless inspiration.

Masslough Lake: A serene setting with woodland trails and lakeside views, perfect for capturing nature’s tranquillity on canvas.

Ballinakill Village: The charming former Charter village with historic architecture and street scenes, providing a variety of subjects for artists to explore.

Guided by expert tutors Jock Nichol and Neal Greig, this workshop will help participants develop their skills, whether they’re picking up a brush for the first time or refining their technique.

Fees: €130 for three days or €50 per day.
