Families were blown away by hundreds of magical bubbles bobbing on the Swan River as part of a free landmark art installation.

By day Ephemeral Oceanic sees 150 bubbles projecting lights and reflections and by night transformed into an illuminated bubblescape across Elizabeth Quay.

The bubble playground, created by Atelier Sisu, was inspired during the Covid-19 pandemic when the world stopped and everything people took for granted started to disappear

It celebrates the transient nature of life and the fragility of the world around us through the magic of ‘bubbles’ – bringing people together in fleeting moments of connection and community through a playful shared experience.

Ephemeral Oceanic is running until April 25.
