Bemidji Public Library

will host Northern Artist Association member Kathy Sanders’ exhibit, “Northwoods Images,” June 3 through Aug. 31, at the library, 509 America Ave. NW.

Sanders is a multidisciplinary artist, with the art in this exhibit featuring oil and acrylic paintings.

She has had a lifelong interest in the arts and started painting by attending rosemaling classes over 35 years ago. This interest evolved through acrylics and various painting techniques and has now come full circle back to oils, a release said. Sanders’ favorite subjects are floral arrangements and flowers as she is also an avid gardener.

Sanders is a member of the Northern Artist Association, Loon Country Arts and serves on the North Country Arts and Crafts executive board. She demonstrates at art fairs and teaches her art through community education classes and North Country Arts and Crafts Workshops.
