This exhibit features photographers from six countries across Africa where neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are prevalent. In breathtakingly bold colors, it dissects social issues and challenges western representations of Africa by creating a powerful interpretation of the impact of NTDs on gender equity, mental health, mobility and access to resources.

This exhibit is curated by Aïda Muluneh organized by The End Fund and Reaching the Last Mile, and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), in connection with World NTD Day (30 January).

On display from 19 January to 16 February 2024

Vernissage on Tuesday 30 January, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm EST, UN General Assembly Lobby, United Nations Secretariat Building, 46 St and 1st Ave, New York

The vernissage will also feature a private screening of The Fly Collectors, a lyrical celebration of the work that has brought Senegal within sight of a once unthinkable goal: eliminating onchocerciasis (river blindness).

Deadline for registration: January 25, 2024
