A Hartlepool-based engineering firm is set to grow its operations following a £500,000 investment.

ExMesh Engineering, a division of The Expanded Metal Company, is making “substantial investments in state-of-the-art machinery” to expand its services to meet increasing customer demand.

Known for its high-quality metal perimeter fencing, the firm will now offer a full suite of metal fabrication solutions, from intricate custom designs to large-scale production.

Bosses say the company will also embark on a recruitment drive to strengthen its workforce.

Ryan Pinder, operations manager and head of CI at ExMesh, said: “To support our bold new direction, we have made substantial investments in state-of-the-art machinery, which will enable us to deliver unparalleled precision, flexibility, and capacity in all metal fabrication.

“New services include a top-of-the-line laser cutter which can cut carbon steel, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium with extreme accuracy and efficiency, perfect for complex and large-scale projects.

“We are very proud to be investing and building on the skill and heritage that is grounded in Teesside.”

With over a century of expertise in metal solutions, ExMesh Engineering supports clients across construction, architectural, industrial and retail sectors.

Managing director Philip Astley added: “This new chapter marks a significant milestone in the evolution of ExMesh Engineering and our group.

“We are excited to offer our customers more than ever, whether they need security solutions or custom metal fabrications.”
