A fan paid tribute to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess by creating an incredible drawing based on the game’s major characters and shared their work with other fans on social media. The Zelda fan artist was complimented by their peers for their efforts and attention to detail when designing the background of the artwork.
Twilight Princess was the first entry in The Legend of Zelda series released on two platforms within a single release window. The Wii version of the game was released in North America on November 19, 2006, and its GameCube counterpart launched nearly a month later, on December 11, as a swan song for the outgoing console. This pattern would be repeated over a decade later, when Breath of the Wild was released on March 3, 2017, as both a launch title for the Switch and a sendoff for the Wii U. Twilight Princess received an HD port in 2016 for the Wii U. Though it is one of the darker tales in the Zelda series, Twilight Princess is remembered for its variety of dungeons, such as Snowpeak Ruins and the City in the Sky.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Is Getting a New Apparel Line
Nintendo is teaming up with a well-known Japanese clothing brand to release apparel based on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Through the years, Twilight Princess‘ cast of unique characters, including Zant and Midna, remained popular subjects with Zelda fan artists. A Reddit user named Timkongart posted their drawing of various Twilight Princess characters on the r/Zelda subreddit. Starting at the bottom, Timkongart drew Wolf Link with Midna riding atop. The drawing had both the Master Sword and Midna’s true form in the center, with her arms outstretched. Both Link and Zelda flanked the Master Sword to the left and right respectively, with their blades in hand. Above them, Wolf Link was opposed by Puppet Zelda, one of the most notorious bosses of Twilight Princess, and the villainous Ganondorf was placed at the top of the drawing.
Zelda: Twilight Princess Fan Draws Incredible Artwork of Main Cast
In the comments, some Twilight Princess fans complimented Timkongart for their artwork, and for choosing different locations throughout Hyrule to serve as background segments. Some users pointed out that various parts of the background were also given effects similar to the Twilight Portals, one of the unique elements that made Twilight Princess stand out.
While fans remain hopeful that Twilight Princess will get another remaster in the future, artists such as Timkongart keep the game’s legacy going. Only time will tell when Nintendo will give the fan-favorite entry another look.
