Artist Julie Arnall will hold a life drawing class later this month for Dunmow Art Group.

Julie Arnall has a Masters degree in Fine Art and has previously taught life drawing at Wimbledon College of Art and Kingston University.

Since moving to Bishop’s Stortford she now teaches regular drawing and printmaking classes in East Hertfordshire, and a monthly Saturday life drawing class at Much Hadham.

“Life drawing is such a great way of progressing all your drawing skills, and all my classes are suitable for people with all levels of experience,” said Julie.

“Some A4 (or ideally) A3 cartridge paper or a sketchbook, and charcoal or charcoal pencil is a great way to begin. For this session we will be looking at introducing tone to a figure drawing to create form and charcoal gives you the flexibility to add and take it away, but you could also use a soft pencil like a 4B or 6B.”

The class will be held at Foakes Hall, Great Dunmow, on Wednesday 15th November from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. Entry is £1 for members and £5 for non-members.

Dunmow Art Group has a long history of supporting artists and art lovers in and around Dunmow and has a regular programme of weekly art meetings and monthly visiting artists.
