Artist Julie Arnall is holding a life drawing class for Dunmow Art Group on Wednesday (Nov 15).
The class will be held at Foakes Hall in Great Dunmow from 7.30pm-9.30pm. Entry is £1 for members and £5 for non-members.
“Life drawing is such a great way of progressing all your drawing skills, and all my classes are suitable for people with all levels of experience,” said Julie, who lives in Bishop’s Stortford.
“Some A4 (or ideally) A3 cartridge paper or a sketchbook, and charcoal or charcoal pencil is a great way to begin. For this session we will be looking at introducing tone to a figure drawing to create form and charcoal gives you the flexibility to add and take it away, but you could also use a soft pencil like a 4B or 6B.”
Julie has a Masters degree in Fine Art and has previously taught life drawing at Wimbledon College of Art and Kingston University.
